Here are two first photos, of my "new" old home.
On this blog you will follow my progress,
as I try to renovate a 1930's craftsman bungalow.
I've moved twice since I first sold the farm.
First I tried Das Kleine Haus...a beautiful 1880's folk Victorian.
It was a lovely house, but just didn't fit my lifestyle.
To tell you the truth,
I think I was grieving about the move from the farm.
Even though I loved the farm, it became too much work for me.
Next, I tried living closer to family for a while.
You may remember Meggie's Cottage on the edge of a Forest.
But again, it just didn't feel right. I was feeling very displaced.
This is why I chose to move back to the prairie.
Meggie on the Prairie blog will live on....
I will continue to post on it, showing you, my dear readers,
small glimpses of small town living, on the prairie.
This blog will be devoted to my bungalow.
I thought it deserved a separate blog.
I know this is where I belong.
I am happy...
Meggie Mac
It is going to be an exiting journey Meggie. Look forward to your posts. x
ReplyDeleteThanks, Christina.....the photos won't always show a completed project. This house will take a lot of work. As you can see in the first photo, I caught in the mirror reflection, the place where I stopped painting.
DeleteThose lamps are just beautiful! I look forward to watching your progress--thanks for showing us pictures!
ReplyDeleteI have boxed and moved those lamps many times to a new home. The larger one is very old and heavy. It is loved by me, that it usually rides in the front seat when I move it. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteGlad you have found the place that feels right. I will be following too, Meggie. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks....I'm already making some small plans for a garden...And, my studio is almost finished.
DeleteI'm looking forward to watching your progress on the Bunglalow!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jan....I just checked out your post on Kentucky barns....beautiful shots and wonderful colors.
DeleteWonderful pictures...have subscribed and look forward to your posts :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad to read that you are feeling more settled.
ReplyDeleteJohn and I love our bungalow; even though we hadn't set out to buy one, almost every property we viewed was one!
You sound happy and content! :)
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how you grieved when you left your farm...I do hope you feel happier and more content here.
ReplyDeleteWell, hey, I didn't know you had this other blog. Fun. I'll be sure to check back when I have more time to see everything!
